How to read

i

Prices checked

Publicly verifiable reference values as of September 2026. Retailers display cash prices, instalment prices, coupons or values revealed only at checkout; the figure shown is a reference, not a closed quotation.

ii

Informed purchasing

Check model, quantity, packaging, support and consumables. A product entry helps compare investment; it is not validation for intraoral use.

iii

Dental use

Open equipment requires calibration per resin, temperature control, adequate washing and post-curing, and validation before clinical use.

01Equipment

Equipment

The base of the workflow: an MSLA printer for production and a dedicated station for washing and curing. The initial cost does not include resin, PPE, alcohol and spare parts.

Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra
Elegoo
MSLA printer · Translaser

Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra 9K

405 nm MSLA printer with a 9K screen and nominal 18 µm XY pixel. Uses tilt layer release. Pixel size is not part accuracy; resin, orientation, exposure and post-processing also affect the result.

  • Compatible with 405 nm resins, depending on the formulation.
  • Requires environmental control and calibration per batch and material.
  • In dentistry, final accuracy depends more on the complete protocol than on nominal resolution.
R$ 2,799.00 R$ 2,519.10 cash/Pix price; list price stated by the retailer: R$ 2,799.00. In stock at the time of checking.

Washing and curing · Anycubic Brazil

Anycubic Wash & Cure 3 Plus

A 2-in-1 station for washing and photopolymerising resin parts. It reduces operational variability compared with improvised washing and curing, but biocompatible resins still require strict adherence to the manufacturer's protocol.

  • Washing basket: up to 7.6 L; container: 12 L. These are not curing capacities.
  • Useful for models and larger parts within the compatible volume.
  • Does not replace validated dental chambers when the resin requires a specific post-cure.

02Accessories

Essential accessories

Items for stability, protection and maintenance. On open printers, simple accessories can reduce failures, but they also introduce new variables that must be controlled.

Chitu H2 MiniHeater
Chitu Systems
Thermal control · Amazon BR

Chitu H2 MiniHeater

An internal heater for resin printers. Its main function is to reduce thermal variation of the resin, improving flow and predictability on cold days. It must be installed carefully so as not to interfere with lid movement, cables or ventilation.

  • Useful for more viscous dental resins.
  • Does not correct wrong exposure, poor supports or inadequate post-curing.
  • Do not operate it without monitoring temperature and electrical safety.
Check at the link the listing states an international product and may hide the value until checkout; the manufacturer lists the H2 at US$ 51.99 before shipping and taxes. No verifiable public price in BRL.

Optical protection · Mercado Livre

LCD protective film

A protective film that reduces the risk of damage from resin leaks or surface scratches on the optical stack. Before buying, confirm that the listing really is compatible with the Mars 5 Ultra and that the item is a protective film — not a complete LCD screen.

  • A preventive item, especially relevant with highly filled resin.
  • Poor installation produces bubbles, loss of light transmission or local failures.
  • Do not remove original protections without confirming the correct procedure.
Check the listing Price and stock not confirmed. Check the protector for the exact model; distinguish it from an LCD panel or vat film.

Critical consumable · Slim 3D

Replacement FEP film — 206 × 146 mm

Replacement film for the bottom of the vat. It is a critical consumable: a marked, cloudy, loose or punctured FEP increases print failures and can cause resin to leak onto the screen.

  • 206 × 146 mm, 0.15 mm; Mars 5 Ultra compatibility stated by the seller. Confirm material and installation with the manufacturer.
  • Replacement requires uniform tension and inspection for micro-perforations.
  • For high volume, keep at least one spare set.

Mini VAT Meditec, kit para Mars 5 Ultra
Meditec / Twomedical
Compact vat · Meditec

Mini vat

A compact vat that reduces dead resin volume and makes material changes easier. It is especially useful in dentistry when alternating between model, guide, provisional and ceramic-filled resins. It is not universal: it must be compatible with the printer model.

  • Helps reduce resin waste on small parts.
  • Use a profile and installation compatible with the Mars 5 Ultra tilt system; do not transfer lift settings from a different machine.
  • No public price found; purchase tends to be through direct contact.
On request there is no reliable public price from the supplier; keep direct contact for a quotation of the model compatible with your printer.

Compatibility check

Sheet width alone does not determine compatibility. Oversized sheets may allow trimming if the installation procedure permits it. Confirm usable dimensions, material (FEP/PFA), thickness, fixing and release mechanism; a generic listing does not validate the assembly.

03Resins

Dental resins

Materials with different functions. A model resin must not be treated as biocompatible; a long-term restorative resin requires a far stricter printing, washing and post-curing protocol.

Quanton Athom Dental
Quanton
Dental model · Quanton

Quanton Athom Dental

A 395–405 nm resin for study models, working models, dies and prototypes. It is not a biocompatible material for intraoral use. Its main application is producing dimensional models with good anatomical readability.

  • External and laboratory use.
  • Shake before use and calibrate exposure per colour and batch.
  • Washing and post-curing affect dimensional stability and finish.

Voxelprint Ceramic FGM
FGM
Indirect restorations · Dental Protetic

Voxelprint Ceramic FGM

A photopolymerisable composite resin indicated for single indirect restorations such as crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays and artificial teeth. This is a technically more sensitive category: it requires control of filler, orientation, supports, washing and post-curing so as not to compromise mechanical properties and biocompatibility.

  • 250 g package, in the available translucency and shade variants.
  • Check the printer, material, layer, wash and cure combination in FGM instructions. A print profile does not validate the entire process by itself.
  • In stock at the time of checking, with eleven shade variants listed.
R$ 1,695.00 R$ 1,644.15 cash/Pix price; list price R$ 1,950.00, current price R$ 1,695.00.

Technical note

For dental resins with ceramic filler, homogenisation before printing is not an operational detail; it is a critical step. Settling of the filler alters viscosity, light absorption, strength, colour and fit. For materials intended for intraoral use, do not apply generic parameters found online without at least a a documented protocol for the printer–resin–washing–post-cure chain.

04Consumables

Everyday consumables

Support items that do not enter the main budget but are necessary to run the workflow safely and predictably. Pharmacy, supermarket and bench.

  • Disposable nitrile gloves
  • Respirator selected according to exposure assessment and the SDS
  • Solvent at the concentration specified in the resin IFU
  • Spray bottle for clean alcohol
  • Neutral detergent
  • Plastic container for the pre-bath
  • Soft-bristle toothbrush
  • Microbrush
  • Lint-free gauze or cloths
  • Cuticle nipper for supports
  • Scalpel or finishing blade
  • PVC film for bench protection
Safety

Liquid resin must not be handled directly. Work with PPE, adequate ventilation, bench protection and correct disposal. Parts for dental use must be fully washed, dried and post-cured according to the manufacturer's guidance.
