CADentista · Knowledge into practice
A technical index
for digital dentistry.
Reference material for the digital dental workflow: scanning, CAD/CAM, 3D printing and clinical and laboratory setup. Understand each step, choose materials and investigate failures.

What is here
Eight independent modules. Each one can be read on its own; together they cover the path from the scan to the finished part.
Four fronts
The content is organised around the areas where the digital workflow is actually decided — not around brands or equipment.
CAD/CAM
Design, libraries, virtual articulator, nesting, toolpaths and the handover from file to machine.
Additive manufacturing
Printing technologies, slicing parameters, supports, washing and post-curing treated as manufacturing steps.
Evidence
Standards, technical data sheets and peer-reviewed literature above commercial recommendation and forum opinion.
Clinical practice
Indication, fit, biocompatibility and traceability — the point where a file becomes professional responsibility.
Where a figure could not be verified in a primary source, it appears as “not found” rather than being estimated. Mechanical property values obtained under different standards, geometries or curing protocols are not presented as equivalent.
Isaac Daniel
Gonzaga Estevão
Dental surgeon. MSc in Integrated Dental Clinics from the Federal University of Uberlândia and doctoral candidate in Oral Rehabilitation at the Ribeirão Preto School of Dentistry, University of São Paulo.
The research focuses on dental materials and additive manufacturing: resins for 3D printing of indirect restorations during the master's, and, in the doctorate, additively manufactured endocrowns combined with intraoral scanning — moving from isolated material characterisation towards integration with restorative geometry, adhesion and biomechanical behaviour.
